# Return API version

`GET /`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api-eu.dhl.com/parcel/de/shipping/v2`
- URL: `https://api-eu.dhl.com/parcel/de/shipping/v2/`
- Auth: none required

Returns the current version of the API as major.minor.patch. Furthermore, it will also return more details (semantic version number, revision, environment) of the API layer.

OK

- ServiceInformation: Response for the API version endpoint detailing version information.

    - `name` string: name of api
    - `env` string: environment
    - `version` string: version of api
    - `rev` string: revision
  - `backend` object
    - `env` string: environment
    - `version` string: version of backend

## Other responses

- `401`: Unauthorized
- `429`: Too Many Requests
- `500`: Internal Server Error
