# Delete a sandbox

`DELETE /v1/sandboxes/{sandbox_id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.dexto.ai`
- URL: `https://api.dexto.ai/v1/sandboxes/{sandbox_id}`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Terminate the sandbox and delete it with its workspace. Its name becomes free again.

- `400`: Invalid JSON or request fields.
- `401`: Missing or invalid API key.

- `500`: Unexpected Dexto failure.
