# Create a project

`POST /v1/projects`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.dexto.ai`
- URL: `https://api.dexto.ai/v1/projects`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Beta, may change. Create a Cloud project. Takes a person's OAuth token with the cloud:write scope; Owners and Admins create projects. A key belongs to one project and can't.

## Request body

  - `name` string, required: Unique among the organization's projects.

## Response `201`

Created.

  - `archived_at` string, date-time, nullable, required: When it was archived; an archived project's keys and work stop.
  - `created_at` string, date-time, required
  - `id` string, uuid, required
  - `is_default` boolean, required: The organization's Default project, which can't be archived.
  - `name` string, required
  - `object` 'cloud_project', required
  - `updated_at` string, date-time, required

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid JSON or request fields.
- `401`: Missing or invalid API key.
- `402`: The account has insufficient credits.
- `403`: The account cannot perform this operation.
- `404`: The requested resource was not found.
- `409`: The request conflicts with existing resource state.
- `429`: The account exceeded this operation's request rate.
- `500`: Unexpected Dexto failure.
- `502`: The upstream model provider failed.
- `503`: A required Dexto service is temporarily unavailable.
