# Provides the version of Develocity.

`GET /api/version`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://develocity.example.com`
- URL: `https://develocity.example.com/api/version`
- Auth: HTTP bearer
- TypeScript: <https://skmtc.dev/develocity/apis/develocity-api/docs/api/version/get.ts> (a function with typed inputs; its response is checked against the schema)

This endpoint can be accessed by any authenticated user.

## Response `200`

Successful version response

- DevelocityVersion: **This object is deprecated, use `DevelocityVersion` instead.**
  - `string` string, required: The complete version string of format `YEAR.RELEASE.PATCH`, where the patch component is omitted when `0` (e.g. `2022.3`, `2022.3.1`).
  - `year` integer, required: The gregorian calendar year of the release.
  - `release` integer, required: The sequence number of the release for that year, starting with 1.
  - `patch` integer, required: The patch level of the release, starting with 0.

## Other responses

- `404`: The referenced resource either does not exist or the permissions to know about it are missing.
- `500`: The server encountered an unexpected error.
