# Turn telemetry on

`POST /api/telemetry/enable`

## Request

- Base URL: `http://localhost:3013`
- URL: `http://localhost:3013/api/telemetry/enable`
- Auth: HTTP bearer

Stores `ANONYMIZED_TELEMETRY=true` and applies it to the running server: the install ID is minted if needed and `telemetry.enabled` is sent once, so no restart is needed.

## Response `200`

Telemetry is on

  - `enabled` boolean, required

## Other responses

- `400`: Validation error
- `401`: Unauthorized
- `403`: Only a config admin can turn telemetry on
