# Zone by ID

`GET /zones/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api-dev.despegar.com/v3`
- URL: `https://api-dev.despegar.com/v3/zones/{id}`
- Auth: API key in header `x-apikey`

Returns the details of a specific zone (neighborhood or sub-area) identified by its internal numeric ID.

OK

- object
  - `id` string: Internal numeric identifier of the zone.
  - `gid` string: Global identifier combining type and id. E.g.: `ZON_183179`.
  - `type` string: Zone classification type. E.g.: `NEIGHBOURHOOD`.
  - `descriptions` object: Localized zone names keyed by language code.
  - `aliases` string[]: List of alternative names for the zone. Not always present.
  - `city_id` string: Internal numeric identifier of the city this zone belongs to.
  - `city_gid` string: Global identifier of the city. E.g.: `CIT_982`.
  - `relevance` integer: Relevance score used to rank zones.
  - `provider` string: Source of the zone data. E.g.: `DESPEGAR`. Not always present.
  - `location` object: Polygon defining the geographic boundaries of the zone.
    - `type` 'POLYGON'
    - `latitude` number: Reference latitude of the zone centroid.
    - `longitude` number: Reference longitude of the zone centroid.
    - `coordinates` object[]: List of points that define the polygon boundary.
      - `type` 'POINT'
      - `latitude` number
      - `longitude` number
  - `configurations` string[]: List of product and platform configurations in which this zone is available.
  - `pictures` object[]: List of pictures associated with the zone. Always empty.
  - `last_update_date` string, date-time: Date and time of the last update to this record.

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad Request. A required parameter is missing or invalid.
- `401`: Unauthorized. The request is missing a valid API key.
- `404`: Not Found. No zone found for the given ID.
- `500`: Internal Server Error.
