# Continents

`GET /continents`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api-dev.despegar.com/v3`
- URL: `https://api-dev.despegar.com/v3/continents`
- Auth: API key in header `x-apikey`

Returns the full list of continents available in the system, including multilingual names, code, and product configurations.

## Query parameters

- `product` string, required
- `language` string, required

## Response `200`

OK. Returns an array of continents directly.

- object[]
  - `id` string: Internal numeric identifier of the continent.
  - `gid` string: Global identifier combining type and id. E.g.: `CON_30003`.
  - `code` string: Internal code of the continent. E.g.: `SA`, `EU`, `NA`.
  - `descriptions` object: Localized continent names keyed by language code. E.g.: `{ "es": "Europa", "pt": "Europa", "en": "Europe" }`.
  - `configurations` string[]: List of product and platform configurations in which this continent is available.
  - `pictures` object[]: List of pictures associated with the continent. Always empty for continents.
  - `last_update_date` string, date-time: Date and time of the last update to this record.

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad Request. A required query parameter is missing or invalid.
- `401`: Unauthorized. The request is missing a valid API key.
- `500`: Internal Server Error.
