# Baggage Availability

`GET /flights-api/ancillaries/baggage/availability`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api-dev.despegar.com/v3`
- URL: `https://api-dev.despegar.com/v3/flights-api/ancillaries/baggage/availability`
- Auth: API key in header `x-apikey`

Returns the available baggage options for a given flight, including weight limits, quantity, route and passenger position, and pricing details.

## Query parameters

- `platform_id` string, required

## Response `200`

OK

- object
  - `items` object[]: List of available baggage options for the selected flight.
    - `choice_id` string: Unique identifier for the baggage option. Used to select it during booking.
    - `type` 'checked' | 'carry_on': Type of baggage. `checked`: checked baggage. `carry_on`: cabin baggage.
    - `weight_limit` object: Maximum weight allowed for this baggage option.
      - `value` number: Weight limit value.
      - `unit` string: Unit of measurement. E.g.: `kg`.
    - `quantity` integer: Number of bags included in this option.
    - `route_position` integer: Index of the route segment this baggage applies to. Starts at 0.
    - `passenger_position` integer: Index of the passenger this baggage applies to. Starts at 0.
    - `price_detail` object: Pricing information for this baggage option.
      - `currency` string: Currency of the price. E.g.: `BRL`.
      - `taxes` number: Tax amount applied to the baggage price.
      - `total` number: Total price including taxes.

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad Request
- `401`: Unauthorized
- `500`: Internal Server Error
