# Special Requests

`POST /reservations/{id}/specials-requests`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api-dev.despegar.com/v3`
- URL: `https://api-dev.despegar.com/v3/reservations/{id}/specials-requests`
- Auth: API key in header `x-apikey`

Creates a special request for a reservation. The request body varies depending on the product type (FLIGHT or HOTEL).

    - `passengers` integer[], required: List of passenger indexes to apply the request to.

    - `product_type` 'HOTEL', required: Must be HOTEL for hotel special requests.
    - `code` string, required: Code of the special request, obtained using the catalog service.
    - `value` string: Only used when requires_value field (found in catalog response) for a specific request is True.

## Response `200`

OK

- object
  - `flow_id` string: Flow ID generated for the special request.
  - `product_id` number: Product ID associated with the request.
  - `product_type` string: Product type. E.g.: FLIGHT, HOTEL.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request
- `401`: Unauthorized
- `404`: Not found
- `500`: Internal server error
