# Disable sender

`POST /email/sending-identities/{identity}/disable`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://www.dench.com/api/v1`
- URL: `https://www.dench.com/api/v1/email/sending-identities/{identity}/disable`
- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - HTTP bearer

Soft-disable a sender (or every sender on a domain) for the workspace; sends are blocked until restored.

## Path parameters

- `identity` string, required: Identity id, sender email, or domain (disables every sender on the domain).

## Response `200`

Successful response

  - `disabled` object[], required
    - `identityId` string, required
    - `fromEmail` string, required
    - `domain` string
    - `disabled` boolean, required

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request
- `401`: Missing or invalid authentication

- `500`: Server error
