# Verify sender

`POST /email/identities/verify`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://www.dench.com/api/v1`

Start Dench Emailing Service sender verification.

## Request body

- object
  - `type` 'domain' | 'email', required: Identity scope. `domain` verifies via DNS (DKIM); `email` verifies a single mailbox via a confirmation email.
  - `identity` string, required: Domain (example.com) or mailbox (founder@example.com).
  - `configurationSetName` string: Optional provider configuration set override.

  - `type` 'domain' | 'email', required: Identity scope. `domain` verifies via DNS (DKIM); `email` verifies a single mailbox via a confirmation email.
  - `identityType` string, nullable, required: Provider identity type, e.g. "DOMAIN" or "EMAIL_ADDRESS".
  - `verifiedForSendingStatus` boolean, required
  - `messageId` string, nullable: Verification email id (email identities only).
  - `dkimTokens` string[], required: DKIM tokens for DNS records (domain identities).

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid request
- `401`: Missing or invalid authentication
- `404`: Operation or resource not found
- `500`: Server error
