`PATCH /external_locations/{name}`

Update an external location

## Path parameters

- `name` string, required

## Request body

- UpdateExternalLocationRequest — Update an external location
  - `name` string, required — Name of external location.
  - `url` string — Path URL of the external location.
  - `credentialName` string — Name of the storage credential used with this location.
  - `readOnly` boolean — Indicates whether the external location is read-only.
  - `owner` string — owner of the external location.
  - `comment` string — User-provided free-form text description.
  - `newName` string — new name of the external location.
  - `force` boolean — force update of the external location.
  - `skipValidation` boolean — Skips validation of the storage credential associated with the external location.

  - `credentialId` string — Unique ID of the location's storage credential.
  - `createdAt` string — Time at which this catalog was created, in epoch milliseconds.
  - `createdBy` string — Username of catalog creator.
  - `updatedAt` string — Time at which this catalog was last updated, in epoch milliseconds.
  - `updatedBy` string — Username of user who last modified catalog.
  - `browseOnly` boolean — Indicates whether the principal is limited to retrieving metadata for the associated object through the BROWSE privilege when include_browse is enabled in the request.
