# Retrieve a data attribute

`POST /dataAttributes.info`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://app.getoutline.com/api`

- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - OAuth 2
    - Authorization code: `https://app.getoutline.com/oauth/authorize`
    - Token URL: `https://app.getoutline.com/oauth/token` scopes: `read`, `write`

Retrieve a data attribute by its unique identifier.

## Request body

  - `id` string, uuid, required: Unique identifier for the data attribute.

    - `id` string, uuid: Unique identifier for the object.
    - `name` string: The name of this data attribute.
    - `description` string: A description of the data attribute.
    - `dataType` 'string' | 'number' | 'boolean' | 'list': The data type of the attribute value.
    - `options` DataAttributeOptions: Additional options for certain data attribute types.
      - `icon` string: An icon representing the data attribute from the outline-icons package.
      - `options` object[]: Valid options for list data type.
        - `value` string: The label/value of the option.
        - `color` string: Optional color for the option.
    - `pinned` boolean: Whether this data attribute is pinned to the top of documents.
    - `createdAt` string, date-time: The date and time that this object was created
    - `updatedAt` string, date-time: The date and time that this object was last changed
    - `deletedAt` string, date-time, nullable: The date and time that this object was deleted

## Other responses

- `401`: The API key is missing or otherwise invalid.
- `403`: The current API key is not authorized to perform this action.
- `404`: The specified resource was not found.
- `429`: The request was rate limited.
