# Read the active project brief

`GET /api/v1/context/active`

## Request

- Base URL: `http://localhost:8080`
- URL: `http://localhost:8080/api/v1/context/active`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `X-API-Key`
  - HTTP bearer

Resolves the active project from cwd/workspace and returns the brief the AI reads at session start, plus the structured 4-slot brief_spine.

## Query parameters

- `tool` string
- `verbosity` 'light' | 'standard' | 'detailed'
- `cwd` string
- `sections` string: Comma-separated sections incl. landmines, shipped.
- `shape` 'spine': Opt-in: ?shape=spine renders the 4-slot brief TEXT body (SHIPPED / DECIDED / OPEN / LANDMINE). Default keeps the current text shape. brief_spine is attached either way.

## Response `200`

The active brief

- ActiveBriefResponse: The active project brief, resolved from cwd/workspace.
  - `brief` string, nullable, required: The brief text for the active project (null if none).
  - `brief_spine` object, nullable: The structured 4-slot brief — SHIPPED / DECIDED / OPEN / LANDMINE.
    - `shipped` BriefItem[], required: SHIPPED slot — deterministic completion events (newest first).
      - `text` string, required
      - `trust` 'high' | 'inferred' | 'unverified', required: Per-item confidence band derived from provenance: high (verified or confidence ≥ 0.75), inferred (0.4–0.75 or date_inferred), unverified (below that or absent).
      - `source_tool` string, nullable
      - `date` string, nullable: ISO timestamp this item was recorded/decided/shipped.
      - `importance` 'low' | 'normal' | 'high' | 'critical'
      - `reasoning` string, nullable: DECIDED items only — why the decision was made.
      - `paths` string[]: LANDMINE items only — related file paths.
      - `commit_ref` string, nullable: SHIPPED items only — the commit this shipped in.
      - `pinned` boolean
      - `from_card` boolean: SHIPPED items only — true when the line came from a board card moved to Done. Label it "Shipped": a Done card is a reported completion, not a checked one.
    - `decided` BriefItem[], required: DECIDED slot — unresolved recent decisions.
      - `text` string, required
      - `trust` 'high' | 'inferred' | 'unverified', required: Per-item confidence band derived from provenance: high (verified or confidence ≥ 0.75), inferred (0.4–0.75 or date_inferred), unverified (below that or absent).
      - `source_tool` string, nullable
