# Das Classify Event

`POST /api/v1/das/classify`

Detect events in YOUR DAS record and classify each with the event model.

Detects events (STA/LTA) in the record the caller supplies in `data` (samples x
channels, >= 10 s), extracts FK/spectral features, and runs the event classifier
(7 classes: vehicle, earthquake, blast, footstep, marine_mammal, vessel, ambient).
The classifier was trained ONLY on synthetic feature vectors and has not been
validated on real records -- every prediction carries that label.

No `data` -> HTTP 422. Until 2026-10-14 this endpoint classified a seeded
synthetic record with an injected vehicle event, unlabelled.

Requires API key.

## Request body

- DASPredictRequest: DAS analysis request -- computed ONLY from the caller's `data`. Until 2026-10-14 there was no `data` field: the endpoints analysed server-generated noise (and, for earthquake-detect / classify, an injected synthetic event).

  - `n_channels` integer, nullable: Ignored -- the shape is taken from `data`.

  - `dx` number: Channel spacing (m)
  - `contamination` number: Expected anomaly fraction (Isolation Forest)
