Whale Pick Record (Alpha tier) — the rebuilt page.

Swapped forward 2026-08-14 to picks_preview_v3.html once the rebuild gained a
designed locked view (the earlier revert was because its gated state rendered
as a page-length em-dash skeleton that read as broken). Alpha gating is applied
exactly as /picks-v2 does: _check_tier decides entitlement, picks_entitled
drives which branch the template renders, and every figure the page draws still
comes from the Alpha-gated /api/picks2/* endpoints — a non-Alpha caller gets the
static locked landing and no data in the HTML.

The previous page stays reachable at /picks-legacy for one-route rollback.
