# Get Daily External Settlements

Get daily external settlement summaries by type for a location within a date range.

External settlements are payments settled outside the system (e.g., CARE_CREDIT, CHECK).
This excludes:
- Payment processor mediums (POS, VIRTUAL_TERMINAL, PAYMENT_LINK, etc.)
- Internal mediums (CASH, PATIENT_CREDIT)

## Query parameters

- `location_id` string, required: The location ID to fetch settlements for
- `start_date` string, date-time, nullable: Start date for the range (inclusive)
- `end_date` string, date-time, nullable: End date for the range (inclusive)

  - `date` string, date-time, required: The date of the settlements
  - `settlements` ExternalSettlementSummary[], required: List of settlement summaries by type

    - `totalAmount` integer, required: Total amount for this settlement type in cents
    - `transactionCount` integer, required: Number of transactions for this settlement type
  - `totalSettlements` integer, required: Total number of different settlement types
  - `totalAmount` integer, required: Total amount across all settlement types in cents
  - `tipCount` integer: Total number of tips received on this day
  - `totalTipAmount` integer: Total tip amount in cents
