# Gets metadata for the account.

`GET /accounts/metadata`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://replace-with-account.api.decodable.co/v1alpha2`

- Auth: one of:
  - HTTP bearer
  - OAuth 2
    - Authorization code: `https://auth.decodable.co/authorize?audience=https://api.decodable.co/`

Requires permission matching: `account:read:<name>`, where `name` is the account name.

## Response `200`

Metadata for a Decodable Account.

- AccountMetadata: Metadata for a Decodable account.
  - `cell_id` string, required: The id of the Decodable cell in which the account resides.
  - `region` string, required: The name of the region in which the account resides.
  - `cloud` string, required: The name of the cloud in which the account resides.

## Other responses

- `403`: Access denied: requesting user lacks a required permission.
- `default`: An error has occurred.
