# Get user information by id.

`GET /access/users/{user_id}`

## Request

Requires permission matching: `user:read:<id>`.

## Response `200`

A user get response.

- User: Common user fields in requests and responses.
  - `id` string, required: An opaque ID, created by Decodable, that uniquely identifies a resource.
  - `name` string: Full name, typically including both given_name and family_name
  - `email` string: Email address
  - `given_name` string: Given name
  - `family_name` string: Family name
  - `picture` string: URL to picture, photo, or avatar of this user
  - `create_time` string, date-time: The date and time the resource was created.
  - `update_time` string, date-time: The date and time the resource was updated.

## Other responses

- `400`: An invalid request was received.
- `403`: Access denied: requesting user lacks a required permission.
- `404`: The requested resource does not exist.
- `default`: An error has occurred.
