# Stream inbound messages (Server-Sent Events)

`GET /v1/inboxes/{inbox_id}/stream`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.deadsimple.email`

- Auth: none required

A `text/event-stream` of new inbound messages for sandboxed agents that can't host a webhook. Authenticate via the `api_key` query parameter (EventSource cannot set headers). Each connection long-polls up to ~20s then closes; standard EventSource clients auto-reconnect and send `Last-Event-ID` to resume without missing messages. WebSockets remain the option for a single persistent connection.
