# Vehicle Owner Complaints

`GET /vehicle-complaints`

## Request

Safety complaints vehicle owners filed since 1995, from official public data, counted by the month they were received: complaints, and the crashes, fires, injuries and deaths they report. Counts only, no complaint text. by gives the history (month or year) or a ranking (make, model, model_year or component).

The answer is {by, filters, totals, total, limit, offset, sort, order, as_of, rows, about}.

Successful response (JSON).

- `401`: No API key in the request.
