# Patents

`GET /patents`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.dataporium.io`
- URL: `https://api.dataporium.io/patents`
- Auth: API key in query parameter `apikey`

US patents granted to listed companies since 2015, from official US government data: title, grant and filing dates, patent type, main technology class, number of claims, inventors, the US patents it cites and how often later US patents cite it.

All filters are optional and can be combined. The answer is {total, limit, offset, sort, order, data_as_of, rows, about}. The demo key works with symbol=AAPL, MSFT or WMT.
