# Layoffs Summary

`GET /layoffs/summary`

## Request

- Auth: API key in query parameter `apikey`

Layoff events and workers counted by state, county, industry, country, month, year, source type, status or ticker, with every filter of /layoffs/events. By state, each row also has the jobs of the state and the workers as a percent of them.

The answer is {by, filters, total, total_events, total_workers, rows, as_of, about}; by=state also has employment_period and warn_states.
