# Electricity Rates by Utility

`GET /electricity-rates`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.dataporium.io`

- Auth: API key in query parameter `apikey`

Average electricity prices in cents per kWh by utility, state and year from official public data, for homes (residential), businesses (commercial), industry and transportation, with customers, sales in MWh and revenue, the price a year earlier, the change and the state average. Each row has the kind of service the utility sells: bundled (power and delivery), delivery_only (the delivery part only, in states with retail choice), energy_only (power only) or retail_bundled (a retailer selling both).

The answer is {year, sector, total, limit, offset, sort, order, rows, about, as_of}. Before the first load the rows are empty and note says "Data is being prepared".
