# Get billing dimension mapping for usage endpoints

`GET /api/v2/usage/billing_dimension_mapping`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.datadoghq.com`
- URL: `https://api.datadoghq.com/api/v2/usage/billing_dimension_mapping`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `DD-API-KEY` and API key in header `DD-APPLICATION-KEY`
  - OAuth 2
    - Authorization code: `/oauth2/v1/authorize`
    - Token URL: `/oauth2/v1/token` scopes: `usage_read`

Get a mapping of billing dimensions to the corresponding keys for the supported usage metering public API endpoints.
Mapping data is updated on a monthly cadence.

This endpoint is only accessible to [parent-level organizations](https://docs.datadoghq.com/account_management/multi_organization/).

## Query parameters

- `filter[month]` string, date-time
- `filter[view]` string

## Response `200`

OK

- BillingDimensionsMappingResponse: Billing dimensions mapping response.
  - `data` BillingDimensionsMappingBodyItem[]: Billing dimensions mapping data.
    - `attributes` BillingDimensionsMappingBodyItemAttributes: Mapping of billing dimensions to endpoint keys.
      - `endpoints` BillingDimensionsMappingBodyItemAttributesEndpointsItems[]: List of supported endpoints with their keys mapped to the billing_dimension.
        - `id` string: The URL for the endpoint.
        - `keys` string[]: The billing dimension.
        - `status` 'OK' | 'NOT_FOUND': Denotes whether mapping keys were available for this endpoint.
      - `in_app_label` string: Label used for the billing dimension in the Plan & Usage charts.
      - `timestamp` string, date-time: Month in ISO-8601 format, UTC, and precise to the second: `[YYYY-MM-DDThh:mm:ss]`.
    - `id` string: ID of the billing dimension.
    - `type` 'billing_dimensions': Type of active billing dimensions data.

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad Request
- `403`: Forbidden - User is not authorized
- `429`: Too many requests
