# Trigger a patterns run

`POST /api/v2/llm-obs/v1/topic-discovery-runs`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.datadoghq.com`
- URL: `https://api.datadoghq.com/api/v2/llm-obs/v1/topic-discovery-runs`
- Auth: API key in header `DD-API-KEY` and API key in header `DD-APPLICATION-KEY`

Start a patterns run for a given configuration. The run executes asynchronously.

## Request body

- LLMObsPatternsTriggerRequest: Request to trigger an LLM Observability patterns run.
  - `data` LLMObsPatternsTriggerRequestData, required: Data object for triggering an LLM Observability patterns run.
    - `attributes` LLMObsPatternsTriggerRequestAttributes, required: Attributes for triggering an LLM Observability patterns run.
      - `config_id` string, required: The ID of the patterns configuration to run.
    - `type` 'topic_discovery', required: Resource type for triggering an LLM Observability patterns run.

## Response `202`
