# Refresh experiment results

`POST /api/v2/experiments/{experiment_id}/results/refresh`

## Request

  - API key in header `DD-API-KEY` and API key in header `DD-APPLICATION-KEY`

Request a results refresh for one experiment. HTTP 202 confirms acceptance, not completed results. The response identifies the experiment and does not include a job ID. Read experiment results to check freshness. A request while a refresh is queued or running returns 409. After completion, another request can start another refresh.

## Path parameters

- `experiment_id` string, uuid, required: The UUID of the experiment.

## Query parameters

- `full_refresh` boolean: Force a full warehouse rebuild. Defaults to false when omitted.

Accepted

- ExperimentsRefreshExperimentResultsV2DTO: Response containing the experiment refresh result.
  - `data` ExperimentsRefreshExperimentResultsV2DTOData, required: JSON:API resource containing the experiment refresh result identity and fields.
    - `attributes` ExperimentsRefreshExperimentResultsV2DTODataAttributes: Details of the experiment refresh result.
      - `success` boolean: Whether the refresh request succeeded.
    - `id` string, uuid, required: ID of the experiment whose results were refreshed.
    - `type` 'experiment-results-refresh', required: Experiment results refresh resource type.

## Other responses

- `400`: Malformed experiment ID (not a valid UUID), or full_refresh is not a valid boolean.
- `401`: Missing or invalid authentication.
- `403`: Authenticated caller lacks the product_analytics_experiments_write permission, or lacks edit permission on this experiment.
- `404`: No experiment with this ID exists for the organization.
- `409`: A refresh is already queued or running for this experiment.
- `429`: Too many requests
