# Get unified host facet info

`GET /api/v2/csm/settings/hosts/facet_info`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.datadoghq.com`
- URL: `https://api.datadoghq.com/api/v2/csm/settings/hosts/facet_info`
- Auth: API key in header `DD-API-KEY` and API key in header `DD-APPLICATION-KEY`

Get the value distribution for a specific unified host facet, with optional search and filtering.

## Query parameters

- `facet` string, required
- `search` string
- `query` string

## Response `200`

OK

- CsmHostFacetInfoResponse: The response returned when requesting value distribution for a specific facet.
  - `data` CsmHostFacetInfoData, required: The data wrapper for a facet info response.
    - `attributes` CsmHostFacetInfoAttributes, required: Attributes of a facet info response, containing the value distribution for the requested facet.
      - `items` CsmHostFacetInfoItem[], required: The list of facet value entries for the current page.
        - `count` integer, required: The number of resources with this facet value.
        - `value` string, required: The facet value.
    - `id` string, required: The identifier of the facet.
    - `meta` CsmHostFacetInfoMeta, required: Metadata for the facet info response.
      - `total_count` integer, required: The total number of distinct values for this facet.
    - `type` 'facet_info', required: The JSON:API type for facet info resources. The value should always be `facet_info`.

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad Request
- `403`: Not Authorized
- `429`: Too many requests
