# Watch a case

`POST /api/v2/cases/{case_id}/watchers/{user_uuid}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.datadoghq.com`
- URL: `https://api.datadoghq.com/api/v2/cases/{case_id}/watchers/{user_uuid}`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `DD-API-KEY` and API key in header `DD-APPLICATION-KEY`
  - OAuth 2
    - Authorization code: `/oauth2/v1/authorize`
    - Token URL: `/oauth2/v1/token` scopes: `cases_write`

Adds a user (identified by their UUID) as a watcher of a case. The user receives notifications about subsequent updates to the case.

## Path parameters

- `case_id` string, required
- `user_uuid` string, required

## Response `201`
