# Update case comment

`PUT /api/v2/cases/{case_id}/comment/{cell_id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.datadoghq.com`

- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `DD-API-KEY` and API key in header `DD-APPLICATION-KEY`
  - OAuth 2
    - Authorization code: `/oauth2/v1/authorize`
    - Token URL: `/oauth2/v1/token` scopes: `cases_write`

Updates the text content of an existing comment on a case timeline. The comment is identified by its cell ID.

## Path parameters

- `case_id` string, required
- `cell_id` string, required

## Request body

- CaseUpdateCommentRequest: Request payload for updating a comment on a case timeline.
  - `data` CaseUpdateComment, required: Data object for updating a case comment.
    - `attributes` CaseUpdateCommentAttributes, required: Attributes for updating a comment.
      - `comment` string, required: The updated comment message.
    - `type` 'case', required: JSON:API resource type for cases.

OK
