# Get datastore

`GET /api/v2/actions-datastores/{datastore_id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.datadoghq.com`
- URL: `https://api.datadoghq.com/api/v2/actions-datastores/{datastore_id}`
- Auth: API key in header `DD-API-KEY` and API key in header `DD-APPLICATION-KEY`

Retrieves a specific datastore by its ID.

## Path parameters

- `datastore_id` string, required

## Response `200`

OK

- Datastore: A datastore's complete configuration and metadata.
  - `data` DatastoreData: Core information about a datastore, including its unique identifier and attributes.
    - `attributes` DatastoreDataAttributes: Detailed information about a datastore.
      - `created_at` string, date-time: Timestamp when the datastore was created.
      - `creator_user_id` integer: The numeric ID of the user who created the datastore.
      - `creator_user_uuid` string: The UUID of the user who created the datastore.
      - `description` string: A human-readable description about the datastore.
      - `modified_at` string, date-time: Timestamp when the datastore was last modified.
      - `name` string: The display name of the datastore.
      - `org_id` integer: The ID of the organization that owns this datastore.
      - `primary_column_name` string: The name of the primary key column for this datastore. Primary column names: - Must abide by both [PostgreSQL naming conventions](https://www.postgresql.org/docs/7.0/syntax525.htm) - Cannot exceed 63 characters
      - `primary_key_generation_strategy` 'none' | 'uuid': Can be set to `uuid` to automatically generate primary keys when new items are added. Default value is `none`, which requires you to supply a primary key for each new item.
    - `id` string: The unique identifier of the datastore.
    - `type` 'datastores', required: The resource type for datastores.

## Other responses

- `400`: Bad Request
- `404`: Not Found
- `429`: Too many requests
