# Unmute a host

`POST /api/v1/host/{host_name}/unmute`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.datadoghq.com`
- URL: `https://api.datadoghq.com/api/v1/host/{host_name}/unmute`
- Auth: API key in header `DD-API-KEY` and API key in header `DD-APPLICATION-KEY`

Unmutes a host. This endpoint takes no JSON arguments.

## Path parameters

- `host_name` string, required

## Response `200`

OK

- HostMuteResponse: Response with the list of muted host for your organization.
  - `action` string: Action applied to the hosts.
  - `end` integer: POSIX timestamp in seconds when the host is unmuted.
  - `hostname` string: The host name.
  - `message` string: Message associated with the mute.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid Parameter Error
- `403`: Forbidden
- `429`: Too many requests
