# Delete a dashboard

`DELETE /api/v1/dashboard/{dashboard_id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.datadoghq.com`
- URL: `https://api.datadoghq.com/api/v1/dashboard/{dashboard_id}`
- Auth: one of:
  - API key in header `DD-API-KEY` and API key in header `DD-APPLICATION-KEY`
  - OAuth 2
    - Authorization code: `/oauth2/v1/authorize`
    - Token URL: `/oauth2/v1/token` scopes: `dashboards_write`

Delete a dashboard using the specified ID.

## Path parameters

- `dashboard_id` string, required

## Response `200`

OK

- DashboardDeleteResponse: Response from the delete dashboard call.
  - `deleted_dashboard_id` string: ID of the deleted dashboard.

## Other responses

- `403`: Authentication Error
- `404`: Dashboards Not Found
- `429`: Too many requests
