# Grant role to an archive

`POST /api/v2/logs/config/archives/{archive_id}/readers`

Adds a read role to an archive. ([Roles API](https://docs.datadoghq.com/api/v2/roles/))

## Path parameters

- `archive_id` string, required

## Request body

- RelationshipToRole — Relationship to role.
  - `data` RelationshipToRoleData — Relationship to role object.
    - `id` string — The unique identifier of the role.
    - `type` 'roles' — Roles type.

## Response `204`

OK
