# Remove keywords from a Niche's Master Keyword List

`POST /v1/niches/{nicheId}/keywords/remove`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.datadive.tools`
- URL: `https://api.datadive.tools/v1/niches/{nicheId}/keywords/remove`
- Auth: API key in header `x-api-key`

Undoes an add, by where each keyword came from:

- `removedManual` — added by hand; deleted from the Niche.
- `sentBackToOutliers` / `sentBackToResidue` — moved in from Outliers or Residue; listed there again, with their data kept.
- `notRemovable` — found by the Dive itself, or not in the Niche; left unchanged.

Free. Removing a keyword right after adding it leaves the Niche settings exactly as they were.

Rate limited to 2 requests per minute per Niche.

- RemoveNicheKeywordsRequestDto
  - `keywords` string[], required: Keywords to take out of the Niche's Master Keyword List, 100 at most and 255 characters each. They are lower-cased and trimmed and must be unique after that; blank entries are ignored.

    - `removedManual` string[], required: Keywords that were added by hand. Deleted from the Niche.
    - `sentBackToOutliers` string[], required: Keywords that were moved in from Outliers. Listed under Outliers again, with their data kept.
    - `sentBackToResidue` string[], required: Keywords that were moved in from Residue. Listed under Residue again, with their data kept.
    - `notRemovable` string[], required: Keywords the dive found itself, or that are not in the Niche. Left unchanged.

## Other responses

- `400`: Invalid nicheId or request body
- `401`: Api key is invalid
- `403`: The Niche belongs to another subscription
- `404`: Niche not found, or it has no completed research
- `429`: Rate limit exceeded (2 requests/min per organization and Niche).
- `500`: Internal error
