# Check and publish an uploaded replacement

`POST /datasets/{id}/updates/{updateId}/submit`

## Request

- Auth: HTTP bearer

Idempotently queues content checks, schema/sample regeneration and an atomic version switch. Old data stays live until checks pass; identical content does not advance freshness.

Already processing or terminal

## Other responses

- `202`: Queued for checks; poll update history
- `409`: Another update is already pending
