# Propose a rewrite of one paragraph

`POST /api/v1/templates/redraft`

## Request

- Base URL: `http://localhost:5180`
- URL: `http://localhost:5180/api/v1/templates/redraft`
- Auth: API key in cookie `better-auth.session_token`

Returns a rewritten version of one paragraph in the same language. Merge fields are checked back against the original and the proposal is refused if one moved. Nothing is written to the template: the response is a suggestion for the owner to accept or discard.

  - `how` 'plainer' | 'shorter' | 'firmer' | 'warmer', required: What to change about it. Never what it says, only how it says it.

    - `text` string, required: The proposal. The caller shows it beside the original and saves neither without a choice.

    - `requestId` string, required: Echoed in the x-request-id header. Quote it in a bug report.

## Other responses

- `422`: The model returned nothing usable, and the reason why.
- `429`: Too many rewrites.
