# Send a document out to be signed.

`POST /api/v1/signatures`

## Request

- Base URL: `http://localhost:5180`
- URL: `http://localhost:5180/api/v1/signatures`
- Auth: API key in cookie `better-auth.session_token`

Each signer gets their own link, which is a bearer credential: it is emailed to them and never stored, only its hash. The link expires on its own.

A signer who already holds an open request for the same lease or document is not asked again: nothing is minted or mailed for them, and their existing request comes back marked `alreadyAsked`. So sending again after an answer that never arrived emails nobody twice.
