# The day’s exchange rates

`GET /api/v1/fx`

## Request

- Base URL: `http://localhost:5180`
- URL: `http://localhost:5180/api/v1/fx`
- Auth: API key in cookie `better-auth.session_token`

Rates are integer millionths of one unit of the base, published daily and kept per day, so a figure converts at the rate of the day it belongs to. A pair the table cannot answer is not converted: the amount is shown in the currency it was paid in instead.

The rates on file.

  - `data` object, required: The exchange rates the product converts at, and the day they were published.
    - `base` string, required: The currency every rate is quoted against.
    - `day` string, nullable, required: The day these rates were published, `YYYY-MM-DD`. Null before the first pass has run.
    - `source` string, nullable, required: Who published them, named on every converted figure.
    - `rates` object, required: Quote currency to millionths of one base unit, so `AED: 3990000` is 3.99 dirham to the euro.
  - `meta` object, required
    - `requestId` string, required: Echoed in the x-request-id header. Quote it in a bug report.
