# Stop reading one account from the bank

`POST /api/v1/banking/accounts/{id}/feed`

## Request

- Base URL: `http://localhost:5180`
- URL: `http://localhost:5180/api/v1/banking/accounts/{id}/feed`
- Auth: API key in cookie `better-auth.session_token`

Lets the account go at whichever service reads it and settles what it becomes. `manual` means statements are imported by hand and still expected. `closed` means nothing more arrives on it: no renewal is asked for, no staleness is reported, and it sits in its own group at the foot of the list, which is what an account the owner has stopped using needs rather than a feed that reads as unfinished. Either way every movement, balance and statement already brought in stays exactly where it is, because a feed is how money arrives and never what it is. Owners only.
