# Record a movement on an account by hand

`POST /api/v1/banking/accounts/{accountId}/movements`

## Request

- Base URL: `http://localhost:5180`
- URL: `http://localhost:5180/api/v1/banking/accounts/{accountId}/movements`
- Auth: API key in cookie `better-auth.session_token`

For money that moved where no statement or bank will say so. The movement is marked as typed in, is never placed against a notice on its own, and can be deleted again. A `balanceAfter` is recorded as a verified balance; otherwise the balance is worked out from the movements around it. `possibleDuplicateOf` names a movement already on the account that reads the same, which is a warning and not a refusal.

  - `amount` integer, required: Money, always in integer cents. €1,250.00 is 125000.

  - `counterpartyIban` string
  - `structuredRef` string
  - `balanceAfter` integer: The balance the owner read on the account after this movement. It is recorded as verified and never recomputed.

## Other responses

- `400`: A field is missing or out of range.
