# Get a transcript by ID

`GET /v1/transcripts/{id}`

## Request

Full detail for one transcribed session/broadcast: origin (issuing body), date, and external_link to the full transcript PDF when captured (~93% of rows), and source_url to the YouTube video the session was transcribed from (~86% of rows; null for Senate HLS captures and hand uploads). Transcript ids are globally unique; no country_code needed.

**Data sources:** transcribed congressional sessions, press conferences, and institutional broadcasts, curated by Dapper's monitoring pipeline from official streams (congress channels, presidency/ministry broadcasts). `external_link` points to a PDF of the full transcript when captured (~93% of rows); `content` is the transcript body and may contain HTML markup — use `content_text` for a plain-text version instead of showing `content` to a person.
