# List regulation types

`GET /v1/regulation-types`

## Request

Regulation type codes (decretos, resoluciones, circulares, etc.), the source of `rtype_id` for list_regulations.

Pass `country_code` (one country): you get only the types that country used in the last two years, most-used first, each with `regulation_count`. Names repeat across countries -- 'Decreto' is several ids -- so take the id from this scoped list, not the global one. `q` filters by name (accent/case-insensitive). Without `country_code`: the whole global catalog, alphabetical.

**Data sources:** official gazettes and issuing-agency portals, scraped daily or twice daily per country — e.g. Diário Oficial da União (in.gov.br), El Peruano (gob.pe), Boletín Oficial de la República Argentina, Diario Oficial de la Federación (dof.gob.mx), Diario Oficial de Chile, Gaceta Oficial de Venezuela/Panamá, and 30+ Colombian entity sites. Every record links to the original publication via `external_link`.

## Query parameters

- `country_code` string, nullable: One country (e.g. 'PE'): only its types, with usage counts.
- `q` string, nullable: Filter by type name, e.g. 'decreto'.
