# Change your preferred country or language

`PATCH /v1/me/preferences`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.dapperglobal.com`
- URL: `https://api.dapperglobal.com/v1/me/preferences`
- Auth: API key in header `X-API-Key`

Updates the signed-in user's preferred country and/or language in the Dapper platform. The preferred country is what an omitted `country_code` falls back to on every other call, so changing it changes what unfiltered questions answer.

Interests (entities, commissions, sectors, tags) are a separate endpoint because they replace rather than merge — see `PATCH /v1/me/interests`.

## Request body

- PreferencesRequest: Lo que se puede cambiar del perfil sin tocar los intereses. Los intereses van aparte a propósito: el back los guarda con `.set()`, o sea REEMPLAZO, y mezclarlos acá invitaría a mandar un delta y borrar el resto. Ver `InterestsRequest`.
  - `preferred_country_id` integer, nullable: Internal country id — what an omitted country_code falls back to.
  - `preferred_language` 'es' | 'en' | 'pt', nullable: Preferred language for the platform.
