# Get a consultation by ID

`GET /v1/consultations/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.dapperglobal.com`
- URL: `https://api.dapperglobal.com/v1/consultations/{id}`
- Auth: API key in header `X-API-Key`

Full detail for one public consultation (consulta pública): title, description, publication window, and external_link (citable source URL, may be null). Consultation ids are globally unique; no country_code needed.

**Data sources:** official public-consultation portals and ministry sites — e.g. SUCOP and sector ministries (Colombia), Ministerio de Energía/Economía/Salud (Chile), Aporte Cívico (Ecuador), participa.br (Brazil). `external_link` points to the official consultation form or notice.

  - `dapper_url` string, nullable: This record's page in the Dapper platform (dapperglobal.com) — hand this to a person who wants the full detail. Distinct from `external_link`/`congress_records[].link`, which point at the original official document.
