# Votes cast on a bill

`GET /v1/bills/{id}/votes`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.dapperglobal.com`
- URL: `https://api.dapperglobal.com/v1/bills/{id}/votes`
- Auth: API key in header `X-API-Key`

Returns the individual votes (sí/no/abstención) cast by actors on this bill or its tramitaciones. Each record links vote → actor → party → bill update. Tip: use get_bill_overview(bill_id) to get bill + updates + votes in one call.

**Data sources:** official roll-call and voting records published by the chambers (Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Panama, Ecuador). Each vote links back to the bill and the legislative update it was cast on. `external_link` (when present) is that update's own source link, not a document of the vote itself — null when the vote has no linked update (~80% of rows, see `project_information` instead) or the update has no captured link.
