# Legislative updates (tramitaciones) for a bill

`GET /v1/bills/{id}/updates`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.dapperglobal.com`
- URL: `https://api.dapperglobal.com/v1/bills/{id}/updates`
- Auth: API key in header `X-API-Key`

Returns the ordered sequence of tramitaciones (legislative stages) for a bill. Each update captures a step in the parliamentary process: committee review, floor vote, promulgation, etc. Sorted by orden (tramitación sequence number). Tip: use get_bill_overview(bill_id) to get bill + updates + votes in one call.

**Data sources:** the official docket systems of each national congress — e.g. Câmara dos Deputados and Senado Federal (Brazil), Cámara de Diputados/Senado, Congreso, Asamblea Nacional. Each record carries its official docket code and a link to the chamber's file in `congress_records`.
