# Get a bill by ID

`GET /v1/bills/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.dapperglobal.com`

- Auth: API key in header `X-API-Key`

Full detail for one bill: title, type, source, and congress_records (the chamber's own docket links). Doesn't include tramitaciones/votes/interventions — use get_bill_overview(bill_id) instead if you need those in the same call. Bill ids are globally unique; no country_code needed.

**Data sources:** the official docket systems of each national congress — e.g. Câmara dos Deputados and Senado Federal (Brazil), Cámara de Diputados/Senado, Congreso, Asamblea Nacional. Each record carries its official docket code and a link to the chamber's file in `congress_records`.
