# Follow a bill

`PUT /v1/bills/{bill_id}/follow`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.dapperglobal.com`
- URL: `https://api.dapperglobal.com/v1/bills/{bill_id}/follow`
- Auth: API key in header `X-API-Key`

Adds this bill to the signed-in user's watchlist in the Dapper platform, the same list `GET /v1/me/followed-bills` reports.

`notify: true` also turns on notifications for it. There is a cap on how many bills one account may follow; hitting it answers `409` with `code: FOLLOW_LIMIT_REACHED` and the current count, because retrying will not help — something has to be unfollowed first.

- `bill_id` integer, required: Bill id, from list_bills.
