# Get an actor by ID

`GET /v1/actors/{id}`

## Request

- Base URL: `https://api.dapperglobal.com`
- URL: `https://api.dapperglobal.com/v1/actors/{id}`
- Auth: API key in header `X-API-Key`

Full profile for one actor: name, party, current commissions, social links, current_position, and CV (congress representants only). Doesn't include votes/bills — use get_actor_summary(actor_id) instead if you also need recent votes + recent bills in the same call. Actor ids are globally unique; no country_code needed.

**Data sources:** official rosters of each national congress and government directory — name, party affiliation, and commission memberships as published by the chambers. Executive-branch officials (ministers, government agency heads) are also actors here, filterable with `branch=executive`; that coverage is real but heavily skewed to Brazil as of 2026-07-28. ⚠️ No source-document URL is available for the actor record itself (only `social_links`, which are the actor's own accounts, not a data-provenance link) — cite this actor's `votes` or `bills` instead when a primary-source link is needed.

## Path parameters

- `id` integer, required

## Response `200`

Successful response (real sample data)

- ActorDetail
  - `dapper_url` string, nullable: This record's page in the Dapper platform (dapperglobal.com) — hand this to a person who wants the full detail. Use it as given; the routes are not derivable from the payload. `null` means the record has no page (see the field's per-domain notes), not that the link is missing. Distinct from `external_link`/`congress_records[].link`, which point at the original official document.
  - `relevance` number, nullable
  - `country_code` string, nullable
  - `country_id` integer, nullable
  - `id` integer, required
